World Peace is not a fantasy!

Peace on Earth can be a reality

When the message of the Unity of Man
is understood in the heart of humanity,
it will bring about a change in the human consciousness,
so that peace on earth will become a reality!
All mankind is one

The concept of the Unity of Man:

Kirpal Singh said:
Truly speaking, unity already exists:
as man – born in the same way, with the same privileges from God;
and as soul – a drop of the ocean of all consciousness.

Unity already exists; we only have forgotten it.

The cause of our forgetfulness lies at the level of the mind and in the way we think. Rather than recognising the unity of humanity, we create divisions in our minds by categorising and separating people based on factors such as nationality, religion, social status, and race. By separating people into different groups, we create divisions and disunity. Instead of unity and oneness among humanity, we are now divided into many different groups. Our mindset has become ‘us versus them’. Rather than feeling a sense of unity, we adopt this mindset. This can lead to separation, otherness, tension, conflict, and even war.

All the problems in the world arise from the divisions we create in our minds between people. As these divisions are created in our minds and can lead to conflicts and even wars, the root cause of all problems lies in our minds.

The preamble to the UNESCO Constitution states that,
since war began in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that defences of peace must be constructed.”

As the cause lies within our minds, the problem is spiritual in nature and can only be solved at that level. Both the problem and the solution exist on this level. Therefore, we must address it at this level.

This can be achieved by changing our consciousness, our hearts and our way of thinking. Humanity must raise its consciousness to eliminate the cause of separation, which leads to conflicts and wars.

Above all, we are all human beings and should not be defined by external labels such as nationality, religion, social status or race. As human beings, we are all part of one family. We are all brothers and sisters. If we recognise this, we will treat everyone with humanity, regardless of their nationality, religion, social status or race.

Let us pray for unity among humanity, so that peace may prevail. May people’s hearts melt, allowing them to empathise with one another.

For this to happen, a change must occur in everyone’s heart, enabling humanity to rise in consciousness.

In this way, the entire human society can be reformed. If people embrace the ideal of unity in their hearts and adopt it in their daily lives, it will spread like wildfire, burning all separation, duality, enmity, hatred and egoism. What will be prevail is unity.

Then there will be peace.

Is it possible to end all wars?

Yes, indeed it is possible. But it will not happen! It is so because human consciousness has not yet transcended beyond the narrow boundaries of caste, creed, religion, nation, body, mind, intellect, ideologies, and various conditionings.

There are no harmony and oneness within. Then there can be no harmony in the outer world. Man is divided both within and without.

Ultimately, the outside world reflects our inner state of mind. If we do not have peace within ourselves, how can there be peace in the outside world?

Only when people change at heart level will there be a change in the outer world.

World Peace is possible and it will happen:

1)  When people realise that all human beings belong to the same family of humanity, regardless of the different man-made labels of nationality, religion or race.

2) When people realise that the same God dwells in the heart of all human beings.

If God dwells in every heart, how can we hate others? It is like hating God.
Since God dwells in every heart, then we must show humanity to all human beings, irrespective of the external labels of nationality and religion.

A personal appeal to you:

If world peace is to be achieved, the heart and perspective of every human being must change.

It all starts with you. You can’t just wait for others to take action.

Change your mindset, take action, and start putting the teachings into practice.

Adopt the attitude: ‘If not me, then who?’ Taking action yourself is the first step towards achieving unity and world peace, and others will follow your good example. If you have the right attitude, you can live in harmony with your family, neighbours and the wider world. Then, slowly, this attitude will influence everyone around you and they will change too. Like a wildfire, it will spread around the world.

This is not just an idea — it’s a call for everyone to awaken from disunity and embrace unity.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world.
Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”  Rumi

The message of Unity of Man
Only love can stop war

All mankind is one!

The following poem by the Iranian poet Saadi, which adorns the gate at the entrance to the United Nations building in New York, is a kind of official motto of the UN and also sums up the message of Unity of Man:

All human beings are members of one frame, Since all, at first, from the same essence came. When time afflicts a limb with pain The other limbs at rest cannot remain. If thou feel not for other’s misery A human being is no name for thee.”
